From the airlines they have acquired/shareholding in so far we can see a regional spread across Europe and Asia-Pacific
giving them access to very populous countries which brings more passenger flows and ultimately more sales to their operations
Go Etihad!

Yes amassing quite a range of equity stakes, so Alitalia will be alongside a group that includes VA, Etihad Regional (aka Darwin Airlines, Switzerland), Air Berlin, Air Serbia, Jet Airways and a small stake in Aer Lingus. Quite a different strategy to their main rival in the Middle East, who is more focused on expanding the routes and planes of the airline itself.
