Hey everyone, my wife and I will be arriving at JFK on delta and transferring
to AA for our flight to MIA.

My question is will 1 hour 30 be enough time? Never been to JFK before but from what I gather there's a rail system between terminals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Travelling between the terminal is easy enough, but do you have to collect and recheck your luggage? If so I reckon you'd be very tight. Hand luggage only might be worth the gamble.

Anyone know if there's luggage storage at JFK? I'm thinking not but worth asking, maybe?

Then my educated guess would be too tight to try.

Going through TSA security at the next terminal wont help either.

Yes that that is the concern, I know it can take a while.

What city will you be coming from when you arrive in JFK & is it a domestic or international connection.

I would only be comfortable with a short connection in your case if it was a domestic connection & I had hand luggage only.

Connecting from Buffalo. Trying to think of a way we can make it work.

Sorry to drag this thread up again but just to add our delta and AA bookings are linked, as in when I look up our AA booking the delta one is there to.

Does this afford us any protection if we miss our AA flight?

Any thoughts on this subject would be great.

Linked = not alot, flight tw knows your on flight one, but won't actually do anything to help if something goes wrong

One PNR = your protected in the event something goes wrong, you will end up at your destination

My general rule is if there is any doubt about been able to make it, the connection time is too short. I'd rather have a long, but relaxing wait at an airport knowing everything is good, than a hurried mess where until I'm on the connecting flight I'm unsure where I'll be sleeping that night. The other thing about pushing the friendship on connection times is you may make it, but your bags may not.

Thanks for your thoughts Harvey. I'm thinking we will get an earlier flight.
