Airpoints News has details of changes to the Air NZ Airpoints Program.
On the positive status can now be earned on all paid Air NZ fares.
On the downside the award booking rates with partner (mainly star alliance) airlines have been "enhanced" with routes seeming to require between 15-25% more than they currently do. Also points required for upgrades have been increased. This apparently reflect the higher cost of fares these days. Of course no increase in earning to reflect the fact that more money is being paid to earn the points in the first place.
