Hello again,
For those of you who have read my first email requesting advice on getting the best experiences on the flights to London here’s what I have planned to get my wife and I home.
Again, keeping in mind we had to be flexible and forgoing my whole grail visit to Oktoberfest in Munich when these flights became available.
Initially once our cruise finished I was going to head up to Munich with my wife and another couple however due to securely BC an FC flights over we had to move dates ahead of our cruise leaving little time after.
So, I initially found 2 Business Class seats out of Venice to Dubai and thought I’d jump on them and lock them in an worry about that final flight from Dubai to Australia.
As I’d previously said my wife and I live in Brisbane and the ideal flight would have been the Dubai - Brisbane flight in Business but that’s like sighting a Unicorn.
Again, a few days later I was shocked to suddenly see 2 seats in First become available from Dubai to Sydney but boy did they go quickly. Literally in the time it took me to call my wife and tell her and then log back in one of them had already been taken leaving a single seat an my wife wasn’t prepared to hang out in economy with me in first.
So we were a little disappointed and I continued to look daily thinking of all the changes I could make to maximise and get the flights and classes and dates.
In the end 2 x First Class seats did become available. Unfortunately it’s the day after we fly in from Milan. But we could not allow ourselves the luxury of time to consider it.
I locked in the seats on EK416 Dubai to Sydney departing at 20:40pm arriving into Sydney the following day at 16:30.
Ok it’s not direct flight into Brisbane but hey, Finishing the holiday coming home First will be incredible I’m sure.
Again, here are my questions.
Q1. Our flight from Milan E206 arrives into Dubai from Milan at 22:10 and I believe Emirate offer a chauffeur service to take us to our nominated hotel (Not decided yet) but if anyone has any recomendations then that would be great.
Q2. Friends has previously said we should to the high tea at the Burj Al Arab but again is there something that we would better spend out time doing or seeing during the day knowing that our Flight EK416 departs at 20:40 and we will be collected again by chauffeur.
Q3. Being Dubai and being First Class the lounges should be pretty good and I don’t want to miss a thing.
Q4. I’d heard that WiFi was included on these flights and that you have to advise Emirates that you wanted it otherwise you would be limited to 2hrs. Is this the Case?
Q5. On arrival into Sydney I’m arranging to fly onto Brisbane that same night on the 20:30pm service. Will the Emirates Chaffeur service collect us and take us to the domestic terminal?
Thanks again everyone for taking the time to read an respond.
My wife thinks I’m obsessed but she’s benefitted over the years in the tips I’ve learnt to allow us to turn left when boarding. I have ruined it for the both of us but hey life is all about experiences isn’ it.
With what I learn hear its my plan to record the travel portions of the flight so in the years to come we can look back and say it actually happened.
Wayne.
