We stayed here in september 2008.We had previously been to Niagara many years ago in April. The lower river was iced over and so we could not go on the Maid of the Mist.Mrsdrron wanted to return and do this.finally we have made it.
On FT the reviews of the ES are not great as to recognition and upgrades are rare.Got a very good AARP rate on a Junior presidential suite so booked that.Anyone over 50 going to the USA should look at joining-we save a lot more than the membership cost.
At check in though as well as free internet which I have selected as my MY Way option we are upgraded to a Presidential suite-views of both the Canadian and american falls-

Although their restaurant is not great and the managers reception which everyone gets access to is a zoo we found the staff friendly and helpful and did enjoy our stay here.

drron,

Thanks for the memories from your photos.

Re Hilton rates, I often find that using the US AAA rate gets the best rate when booking. Just need to show your RACV, NRMA etc card with it'd AAA symbol for the discount.

Thanks for the review and wonderful photos drron.

Niagara Falls looks like a really nice place to visit. I remember seeing a Globus email recently on a 2 week escorted tour of the NE USA and Canada. I will definitely start planning an Autumn tour as part of a Oneworld RTW.
