"Earth" credit card QF extra point question - Qantas overseas website?

I have a question regarding the extra 1 pt per $ on Qantas spending on Earth card.

Selected Qantas products and services are Qantas passenger flights (with a QF flight number) booked directly with Qantas, Qantas Club and Qantas Frequent Flyer membership, purchases from Qantas Holidays, purchases from 'Qantas Travel' customer shopfronts and purchases on Hotels on qantas.com - Excludes Jetstar flights and services.

I know the quote above (from Earth website) doesn't state that in order to get an extra point per $ on Qantas purchase, the transaction has to be made within Australia.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience of whether you get an extra point on Qantas purchase* made through overseas Qantas websites?

I purchased Qantas flights with the earth credit card from the Qantas Singapore website and did not receive bonus points or special interest on the purchase.

The new Earth terms and conditions do not specify Australia only for purchases but I remember something along the lines when I first applied for the Earth card a couple of years ago. Also on the statement the charge from Qantas Singapore has a slightly different name to the Qantas merchant account in Australia.

I was successful on May-ih 08 getting Earth to give me the points for Qantas servcies that I had purchased through Flight Centre. After bouncing around various Earth & Westpac call centre contacts I lodge a Westpac "complaint". It was duely escalated to someone whom understood that the T&Cs didn't reference the "Qantsa Merchant" account.

I think it is worth a shot to lodge a complaint and discuss it. I'd be interested to see the definition of "selected Qantas services" and why yours doesn't fit.

albatross710, thank you for your reply, that's very interesting, and good to know you got the points. That leads me to think that I should be able to get extra points for buying a Qantas ticket on their overseas websites.

No cause for complaint from me yet, as I haven't bought anything on Qantas overseas website yet, but I am considering doing so.
