Anyone knows if you earn points when attending a conference at an Accor property and the room is booked at a " meeting negotiated rate". I usually get points at Hyatt and Hilton, but not Fairmont on these kind of rates. This is my first conference at a Pullman hotel and I can't find the answer in the Accor FAQs.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

If you are an Accor member I have been told that you will not earn points if the booking has been made through a third party. Had a couiple of OS trade shows previously and booked entire travel/accom through TA and was denied points.

Well, your experience seems to contradict Accor's own FAQs  (if you used a non online TA):
"How must I make my reservations in order to earn Le Club Accorhotels Points*?

All stays booked at eligible rates through traditional travel agencies are eligible for the credit of points, whatever payment method used (except online agencies, such as Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)."

I have frequently been refused points on check-in when booking was made through a TA. However I now know to have my phone ready, with CBA application and I show them that the booking was paid for with my credit card, and they (usually) relent. Had a couple of absolute 'nos', only one of which I could be bothered chasing up later.

Do they at least recognise other Gold benefits (possible upgrade, free drinks) ?

Oh yes, no problem withanything else. I've assumed that the reason for refusing points is that the TA would have taken their commission of course and Accor reckon they take away points to 'pay' for this and of course to get us to book directly on the Accor site.

Do you have a link handy with the T&C you quoted above (or I guess I'll just search the Accor site :) )
