Because of personal routing preferences, we have a 10 hour layover in DXB, in June. Land just after midnight, connecting flight at 10:25am.

I plan to book a "night" in the Dubai International Hotel, but the website offers rooms on Concourses A, B, or C. We are flying business (Emirates).

Is there any benefit/difference between the Concourses in terms of choice of room?

Thanks.

They are essentially the same I believe. We've stayed in your situation a few times and rooms were very similar. Be aware that there's no real point in trying to pick the concourse based on your outward flight gate since EK change these all the time. Only once was this correct but when we booked in A we had to change to C and when we booked in C we had to change to B.:) although transit btw terminals is simple.

It's convenient to have access to the EK lounges for dinner and breakfast - they are just below the hotel.

We've got the same scenario in May arriving in to DXB at 0035 ex EK186 from BCN which is an A380 then connecting to QF2 to SYD. Concourse A in terminal 3 is used for the EK A380's plus QF also so we're choosing a room in Concourse A.

Here's a link to the hotel site. There is a non-refundable early bird rate of AED480.00 plus tax 10% so the amount billed on your credit card will be AED528.00 (approx AUD181.00).

EK still uses Concourse B for some A380 operated flights, so there is no way of knowing in advance if you will depart from A or B. But with a 2 minute train ride it's not a problem anyway. I always go to the F lounge in Concourse A anyway and the attendant always reminds me that I'm in the "wrong" concourse.

I guess it's not too much of a drama which one we arrive at but it would be handy when checking out of hotel at A concourse if QF2 departs from same via the EK F Lounge of course.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think QF2 and QF10 always leave from Concourse A (at least it's always been the case for me).

Thanks for the replies.

Our fights are vaguely similar to ozbeachbabe's - EK186 from BCN in, then EK434 to BNE (A380). Does that mean anything in terms of Concourses?

The A380 hub is T3 Concourse A but as others have said some A380's use B. It may be worth taking a punt on A & book the hotel there in anticipation of a Concourse A departure knowing that it's a possibility that EK434 DXB/BNE could depart from B.

It's pot luck. All our recent three EK434 were initially scheduled from A but were changed to B a few hrs before departure. So you can never tell.:)
