'Drunk' passenger arrested for molesting Emirates flight attendant

A PASSENGER has been arrested for allegedly molesting a flight attendant on an Emirates plane bound for Mumbai.

Hmmm, here we go again . Some people should not be allowed to travel.

I don't know about deciding who should and shouldn't be allowed to travel, but I think that people should not pass comment based upon feeble hearsay ....

I mean, at least with Qantas, most the FA are god damn ugly, and I would say that these girls are so rude that I probably would prefer just touching the eject button!

Given she's there to do her job, I don't see how that includes being groped at and suggestive remarks made. Maybe that's as bad as it got, but that doesn't make it okay, and how does one know how bad it will get?

If he doesn't have enough sense to control himself then he doesn't have the right to be there.

Police said after drinks were served, Mr Ballaith started summoning the air hostess.
‘‘He was tipsy and would keep calling the air hostess again and again. He would wink at her, try to touch her and pass remarks. This behaviour continued till the flight reached Mumbai

Such behaviour is clearly harassment in anyone's language, and possibly molestation in others. Can't find the feeble hearsay referred to.

Well I don't know if I should confess to this, but I have :-

1. Winked at an FA
2. Touched an FA quite a number of times.
3. Passed many remarks to FAs
4. Almost without exception consumed alcohol on every flight

So what's my sentence since by now you will have convicted me?

Anyone can do those things, it depends in what context they were done it. I'm sure somehow it's acceptable that you could do all of those things on a plane without ever hitting on the FA or going near that subject.

In this case though, I think it's clear what the passenger was after.

Oh, I dunno...maybe to have to fly only Ryanair, crewed exclusively by FAs of your non-preferred gender.

None of 1/2/3 in isolation would necessarily have to be be construed as molestation, but done, combined, incessantly on a ~3 hour flight is way OTT. And 4 was likely the catalyst for 1/2/3 in this case. FWIW, it sounds like his alleged offence is at the lower end of scale, but on it nevertheless.
