I signed up for the Double Status Promo when the email came out, and now trying to reach WP from SG.

I've done two domestic JASAs in the past few weeks. They posted to my account with zero points and zero credits. I understand this is a regular occurrence / annoyance with the QFF system.

I've called up QFF and asked them to credit the points, which they have done. But the bonus status credits have yet to come through.

Meanwhile, revenue J flights I've taken over the same period of time have had the bonus status credits posted the next day.

I know QF say bonus status credits can take "up to 6 weeks", but I'm wondering if there's any way to get the missing ones post sooner rather than later?

The reason I'm keen to do this is I am going on a long overseas trip in two weeks and was relying on the bonus credits to get me to WP before I leave...

Call them until it happens. You pay their wages.

Thanks guys. I have just written a detailed email to the address suggested above. Will report back on how I go!

Would agree with calling and/or emailing. You'll mostly get operators that'll make you wait the 6 weeks, but occasionally speak to someone that isn't such a... ;)

If calling doesn't work, I believe [email protected] might yield a result.

The fastest response I got by emailing them was 5 business days. Once it took 2 weeks for them to call me back.

Had to write to them again early last week. Still waiting

having the same issue at the moment, called up today about it, was promised a call back with an update this arvo but nothing yet

How did you go? End up getting your double SC's?

The bonus SCs mostly came through over a few weeks. It seems like a pretty random process. I have a strong feeling that they are processing them manually.

You can call QFF and chase the bonus SCs - but it is much easier if you are already SG and you get through to Premium desk.

Same thing happened to me for a flight a few weeks ago. Rang up a very nice lady on the PS line and she was able to credit the bonus status credits to me straight away. Welcomed me to SG (first time) and wished me a pleasant weekend - guess there are some nice ones at QF after all! ;)

agree with the comment re slow reply to ff email address. I sent an email last Wednesday morning and still no reply :/ mine isn't urgent so will just hang out for a reply.....

How have people been going with the double SC's on JASA's?

I completed a JASA today, and the first flight looks like it has posted as the normal 40 SC's. However my point balance or SC balance has not changed yet?

Worth a call, or wait until the second flight credits?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Can be a few days for them to post up, 3 - 5 usually for my flights so far

Hi

I am a perpetual SG (last 7 or 8 years) with a reassessment date of 31 July. I got the double status credits offer and decided this would be a good opportunity to press for WP by doing a little extra personal travel and bringing forward a couple of necessary trips that I would have taken in August/September in any case. Through a combination of paid travel and JASAs I estimate that I should get to 1520 SCs, but will not notionally pass the Platinum threshold until a flight on 29 July. I have a couple of minor overseas trips to take next year so saw this as a worthwhile investment.

I was aware of the 'up to six weeks' issue, and can see from other posters' experiences that there is a way to nudge this along (which I expect I will need to do). However, it seems very unlikely that all of them would (under normal circumstances) get posted to my account by 31 July. Does this create a risk for me in getting to WP, in that SCs credited to my account in August count towards next year's allocation? If so, this would likely leave me just short of Platinum (with limited chance of getting there next time) and make it something of a wasted exercise.

Or would the additional SCs be applied to the earning year in which the flights were taken (as I would hope)? Have any posters experienced a simlar situation?

Thanks and regards,
Horatio

My flight status points turned up within a day or so, the bonus status points took another week. About 2 weeks or so later I went to S Silver first and received the new card, pass and tags then a week later again as SG!.

All credits posted after your renewal date will count towards the previous year as they are based on your day of flying not the day of credit. As a result you will still get you Platinum status as long as you fly before the 31st.

Thanks tm.smile, that is just the answer I was after. I'm comfortable with a time lag in getting the credits, as long as they relate to this year's flying.

Regards, Horatio

I can confirm 100% that this will be the case, Mrs ZenJabba had the same thing happen to her.
