*An eligible flight for the purpose of this promotion means any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket where Status Credits or Qantas Points are normally earned. Double Qantas Points may not be earned on some fare types and booking classes including Classic Flight Rewards and any non Qantas operated flights with a QF flight number on the ticket operated by Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Valuair and Jetstar Japan or partner airlines. See the Airline Earning Tables for details.
This double points offer is valid when you register and make a new booking on eligible Qantas operated flights with a QF flight number on your ticket, plus selected QF codeshare flights including American Airlines operated flights on the following routes; Sydney to Los Angeles (QF309), Los Angeles to Sydney (QF310), Auckland to Los Angeles (QF3225) and Los Angeles to Auckland (QF3226). New flight bookings must be made between 12.01am (AEDT) 29 March 2016 and 11:59pm (AEDT) 5 April 2016 for travel between 29 March 2016 and 17 March 2017. You must register and book by 11.59pm (AEDT) 5 April 2016 to be eligible for this offer. Qantas may extend or withdraw the offer. Each passenger in the same booking must register to qualify for this bonus offer. Flights are subject to availability and any applicable fare conditions. Flights can be booked via qantas.com, a travel agent or Qantas Contact Centres. Fees may apply. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of registration and booking to earn bonus Qantas Points. Bonus Qantas Points are based on the Base Rate which applies, or the Minimum Points Guarantee if applicable and for the purposes of this promotion, does not include any Status Bonus that may apply for tier members. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other bonus offer by Qantas. Only one double Qantas Points offer can be used per individual qualifying segment of your itinerary. If you qualify for multiple offers, the offer first-registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment. Full or part travel of an itinerary is eligible only if you book and travel within the promotional dates as listed above. If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking and/or travel is completed outside the promotional period, this bonus offer will not apply. Bonus Qantas Points may take up to 6 weeks after completion of your travel to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.

I wish I received these types of promotional emails. Alll I ever seem to get are those damned marketing emails from Epicure, Golf or the Store, even though I've opted out of all those.

Got it too but after double SCs, not so much points. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick as my mum would say

"any Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on your ticket"

Does Qantas operated flight mean Qantas metal? I'm wondering if flights to Europe with Emirates/Qantas codeshare from Dubai will earn double points?

If they say "Qantas operated" that means Qantas metal. But surprising - I would have thought a QF ticket, even a codeshare, would be good for them .

I didn't get the email, but I too am after double SCs, not so much points. A double SC offer would be a big help for trying for a higher status tier. Points can be obtained using Credit Card bonus offers easily enough as well as through regular flying even with standard points.

Just booked some travel last week, but with that route no longer on special it wouldn't have been worth waiting for the double points even if QANTAS gave any advice warning of their offers (which they don't).

Yes.

The only exceptions are the following QF codeshare flights with American Airlines: Sydney to Los Angeles (QF309), Los Angeles to Sydney (QF310), Auckland to Los Angeles (QF3225) and Los Angeles to Auckland (QF3226). So codeshare flights with Emirates would not earn you the double points.

Thanks for sharing this. Does anyone know if the double points for bookings would work if I use a Qantas gift voucher (previously bought during the christmas bonus points) to pay?

Most likely not.

Hi Everyone. I'm new to the world of FF membership so please be gentle. As I worked for QF for 28 years I didn't need FF to fly. Now I've left with no benefits I live in the real world :) I registered for the double points offer and it said I should receive an email confirmation. As yet that hasn't arrived. Has anyone else had this this?

My confirmation email arrived moments after registration. Have you checked your junk folder just in case?
