I am certain that as a VA WP there was a time I could select exit row seats for free?!?

Tried yesterday when booking today's flight, but website asked for payment to complete the seat selection.

Did I miss this Velocity 'enhancement' ?

It certainly reinforces my switch (back) to QF where I can select exit row for free as a QF WP.

You could select Row 13 till about 12 months ago with Gold Status, but that changed and you can only get Row 13 now at the airport.

You can't select them online but as the first exist row in the 737-800 is reserved for airport operations you can usually get seated there by the checkin/lounge staff.

Not on QF 332/333 between PER - East Coast. QF WP have to pay AUD60 now.

on QF as Gold i have to pay extra for row 44 but 23 is free. Weird.
VAR free, VA you pay
