The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
They call it Economy Comfort. I haven't flown it on the 777 that they use on the SYD-LAX route, but my understanding of it is that you get a few inches of more legroom (3-4) and few inches more recline. Since you're a VA Plat the other benefits (Priority boarding) you'd get anyway. My understanding of DL's long haul economy product (without having actually flown it) is that it's much like all the USA carriers, pretty poor.
I'd say you'd be better off getting the exit row on the VA service, unless DL has some kind of schedule advantage for you.
