Hi all,

I'm looking at booking a multi-leg flight in April and wanted to play around with some of the dates, but I'm having difficulty with the results displayed when I do a search on the Virgin Australia website on my laptop vs via my mobile phone.

For example, if I simply choose a one way flight from Launceston, Australia to Dallas/Fort Worth, both Saturday the 18th of April and Sunday the 19th of April are showing as unavailable:

Yet if I do that same search from the Virgin Australia mobile application, there are flights listed for both Saturday and Sunday:

This is then causing me issues because I can't seem to book a multi-leg flight from the mobile app, yet the unavailability on the desktop version of the site means that when I try to look at options for my multi leg flights it won't show any results because of the unavailability.

I just tried calling through to Virgin but I got a note they were very busy at the moment, so I didn't want to disturb them with this. I thought I'd drop it here to see if anyone had any pointers? I'm not yet 100% set on dates, so I wanted to use the search to see what a few options were rather than go through it over the phone with a customer rep.

Cheers.

Solution
Multi city with international destinations has never been great via the Virgin website.
I would suggest using a generic site such as sky scanner and setting your preferred airline.
You can then call Virgin armed with the flights you want and book, plus explain the issues using the website to avoid call centre booking charges.
However, you may find booking via a travel agent cheaper.

Thanks @Bagpuss for the response.

This is work related travel and at the moment we don't work with a travel agency currently. Good point regarding using a generic site to do the searches. With that said, I've found even with something like Sky scanner that I get some strange results. I think I'll just need to search for each leg on an individual basis and then phone up to see if we can make them all part of a single booking.
