Difference in flying VA vs SQ ticket on same plane/flight

Hi,
I have confused myself with the VA website, looking for some simple explanation please

Can someone tell me what the difference in pts and SC earn (and anything else material eg lounge access) is when flying Melbourne-Singapore
VA5518 01DEC MELSIN
Singapore-Melbourne
VA5519 05DEC SINMEL

versus the same flights under a SQ238 and SQ217 flight number?

I am VFF WP. Class will be economy (may be a low fare class if this makes a difference, but I think seating is limited so perhaps will be flexi).

SC remain same, points will double. make sure you are not booked on N, Q, T and V subclass on a SQ ticket (or check if they earn SC, have been bitten once).
