I cancelled some flights nearly 2 weeks ago and the points still have not credited back to my velocity account and the taxe's haven't credited to my card either, called up and told both where now done by accounts have sent follow-up email which they have read but still nothing.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Cheers

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Not quite the same, but I'm still waiting for points & SCs for flights taken between 15 and 30 Jan. Every time I call I get a different story, but the advice is pretty much to just wait. There are certainly other members on here complaining about delays since SABRE. You probably want to keep on their backs.

I know that the last time I canceled a flight, they credited it back fairly quickly... but that was 2008 (So, well before SABRE).

I had a situation where they tried to change my Reward booking, failed, charged me for 2 sets of points and taxes. Refunded the points immediately but I'm still waiting on the taxes since Jan 30th

When I cancelled a business reward seat points were refunded straight away but $ would take longer.

I recently cancelled a reward flight, where points were refunded immediately, and taxes took 2 weeks and no further action on my part. The paid flight took longer, and after they still hadn't refunded after the 4 weeks they'd quoted as the outside time limit, it took another three days of daily phone calls, emails and Facebook messages to get the refund processed. I'd advise hopping onto FB or Twitter and making a complaint on their page - it seems to have been the only thing that got my outstanding refund done in the end.

Oh great. So Velocity is now working solely on the "Name and shame" principle. I guess I'll have to start beating my drum on their Facebook page.

It's possible that the timing was entirely coincidental, but... :D

FWIW, The person answering the Facebook page seemed nice... but he/she could really only pass it up the tree to the Velocity people. Fingers crossed something actually happens... because I'm hearing a whole lot of nothing via email.
