I'm off to South Korea in a couple of weeks time PER - SIN - ICN flying J on SQ. My PA has automatically put my SQ frequent flyer number into the booking. However I'd like to credit the flights to my DJ frequent flyer number (this will see me retain platinum). I've had a look at my booking on the SQ website but can't find a way of changing frequent flyer number.

Any ideas anyone? is it just a question of phoning up SQ?

You can change the FF number in the section where you add the passenger information such as passport number, expiry date, etc. Log into Krisflyer, go to your booking and it should be down at the bottom of the page.

I've found it doesn't always update properly, so when you check in ask the check-in person to verify the correct number is entered. If it hasn't, they can change the FF number there before issuing your boarding passes.

Thought I'd give a quick update on this - not sure if my experience is typical. I was unable to change my FF number from Singapore to Virgin online and so made the change when I checked in at Perth. Also did the same thing on the way back (i.e. made sure at ICN that my DJ FF number was in the booking).

Just checked my SQ and DJ FF accounts this morning to find that the first flights of each leg (PER - SIN and ICN - SIN) posted to DJ, whilst the second flights (SIN - ICN and SIN - PER) posted to SQ. Presume that I should have checked at the lounge in SIN each time for the second flight but never thought about it.

Happy ending was that although only two out of four flights posted to DJ they were enough to requalify me for Platinum :D

I'm flying Singapore in July - but already booked online - so to get Velocity miles from this flight, I simply have to change the FF# given online, and then mention the FF details at check in before flying?

Sorry to hijack the thread - it's related I swear! :D

I couldn't change from SQ FF to DJ FF online and so asked the check in agent to change it for me at the airport. I subsequently found that only the first flight in each direction credited to DJ, whilst the second flight credited to SQ. The lesson (I think) is that I should have got the lounge angels to check in SIN that my DJ FF number was in the second flight.

Ahh that's okay - the flight is to SIN anyway, so score!

I'll have to let family know!

Cheers,

Alex

+1

We had originally put in our TG FF numbers, then when the SQ-DJ deal came into effect in December, asked our travel agent to change it to Velocity which he said he had. I checked several times during our flights to Europe via SIN: our result was that out of 12 flights, 8 credited automatically to DJ, 3 we needed to claim, and one flight (Mr Sunburnt returned to ADL earlier) credited to TG... but that was in Dec/Jan.

Am heading off to Borneo with SQ in a few weeks - I can get my Velocity details to appear when I edit them online, but every time I try to add my wife's details, it deletes them. Will the entry at the airport get around this? With family pooling these things are important.

I have had similar and ongoing difficulties in getting my DJ number to "stick" to SQ Flights. my Sq Number keeps reappearing. I want to get the DJ credits to hold status. Anyone know how to permanently cancel or abandon SQ membership?
