Hi everyone

I may be able to do some training in Barbados on June 23-24 2014... but of course my work won't be paying for it (perks of working for Government when you're not a pollie).

The cheapest business class route from Perth to Barbados/ Bridgetown I've been able to locate is 7157 in British Pounds or about AUD$12,250 (details below). If anyone can help me find a better price to get from Perth to Bridgetown business class, I'll happily pay the gratuity! Even a recommendation on where to look would be really helpful. This route/price came from expedia.co.uk.

Thanks

Hi,

You could fly with Qantas to Miami business class - current sale for $5409 and then get a flight from Miami to Bridgetown for about $700(I assume this is economy) with American Airlines. A lot faster than going via the UK!

Hello again... question for the much more experienced flyers than me...

In terms of the flights from Perth to LAX - if you had a choice between J either CX via Hong Kong or VA via Sydney, what would you choose?

I'm interested in the comfort of the sleeping arrangements, service, food quality (virgin looks pretty good food-wise I have to say).

The VA seats look quite a bit smaller than CX is that correct?

Any knowledge would be appreciated :)

Perhaps read up on Avianca Lifemiles. Get a return J flight to LHR for about 3800usd or an F seat for 4500usd, or 2700usd and 3300usd respectively if you manage to buy points with a 100% bonus. Then either an AAdvantage award from LHR to BGI or you can pay for a ticket on BA or VS which have direct flights.

And to answer your second question, CX via HK is the best option by far. Better soft and hard product.

Thanks so much for that knightman7 and delsbels :)
Okay one more question...
CX or QF in J?

For an extra $950 I can travel QF instead of CX.

What would AFF-ers chose between the two? I've flown CX J from Chicago to Hong Kong and it was very good... haven't done QF into the USA and am curious to try as the product looks great. Is it worth the extra money?

Thanks again everyone :)

CX J seats have been noted on many sites as just about the best there are, QF sky bed Mk11 seats are good too, bit of a toss up but I lean towards CX in J.

Of course going via HKG take a short stopover both ways to break the long journey an saviour those fantastic CX lounges while at it.

If I had a choice of CX or QF J I'd take CX (almost) every time.
