WOOPS "It has been nearly 12 years since Concorde took its last flight, with the final journey occurring on October 24th, 2013" . Am I dreaming....... that's only two years ago LOL:mrgreen:

Further in the article more time travel" The Concorde’s 27 year life came to an end in 2013 following severe financial problems."

I'm thinking of doing the intrepid tour next month of the Concorde in New York next month

Space shuttle is there too.

Should satisfy the inner geek in me

They could name their charter company something like "SpeedyDeath"

Would have loved to fly it, but I trust commercial mainstream aviation so much more - where zillions of hours of tests etc are done. A single plane resurrected for charters?? No way.

Not knocking the passion of those involved, but I prefer the sheer professionalism of current pilots (JB?) to allay my fears.

As JB commented the other day, (my interpretation of his words) there will always be problems - the job of a truly good pilot is to acknowledge that and relentlessly work to stack the odds in your favour.

Resurrecting one-of-a-kind
supersonic ancient aircraft goes against that philosophy.
