AA Flight numbers crediting to QF FF

CLT-LAX 2100miles and gets more points than
DFW-LAX 1200miles

But CLT-LAX gets 50SC and DFW-LAX gets 60SC

Both are in same fare bucket in AA “first class” crediting to QF as J

In the Partner Airline Earning table there is a specific section for East Coast US/Canada to West Coast US/Canada and CLT-LAX derives its points and SCs from there. DFW-LAX falls into the general bucket and at 1,235 miles gets you the higher SC and lower points as you've noted.

On a side note, if you do depart from CLT then head for the AA lounge between the B and C gates. Its the old US Airways lounge and far superior to the tired shoebox that is the pre-merger AA lounge on the D pier.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

.

Yes understand all that. I wonder about the reason. Must be an agreement between AA and QF.

QF and AA reapplied for a joint venture that got rejected by the US Department of Transport a while back. As part of the (re)application the SC earn on transcons was reduced (halved even?)

So much for Simpler and Fairer(TM) ...

yeah SFO-JFK gets 50SC....but SFO to PHL? 100SC...Much more simpler and fairer LOL
