Christmas Day Lineup

Has everyone got their Christmas day drinking lineup sorted? Love to hear some of the drops people are planning to consume.

With a forecast 40 degrees in Adelaide I think there will be more fizz and white wine being consumed than red. My contribution to lunch will be

1999 Perrier Jouet Belle Epoque
1999 Pol Roger Brut Vintage
2004 Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz

Just need to find a suitable white now.

Probably an '09 Ashton Hills Sparkling Shiraz and a NV Mumm, along with some Alicante Bouchet here and there.

A lovely 27 degrees predicted in Coffs, so should be fine for the reds

Kohen, can I ask how you rate this? I've seen a bottle around for $30 - worth it for that?

I'll be pulling out some Pommery Rose NV and some de Bortoli Noble One for dessert. Hoping Dad digs down past the Torbreck Woodcutters & Struie, and on to a bottle of Descendent

I got for $25 and am happy at that price, have taken to drinking it in a standard wine glass rather than a flute, seems to soften it a bit - more to my liking, i find it more gluggable than Rockfords BP or Ashton Hills,possibly due to being aged

Work serves a very good dinner on Christmas day and I've made arrangements to meet a friend before work to enjoy our dinner.

All of the usual foods are served including meat, seafood and pudding with custard.

I start at 8pm so a good time to have a prework dinner.
