Hi All,

I'm a QF Gold FF and have booked a number of internal domestic US flights on American Airlines. My QFF number is on the bookings.

When checking in, do I present my QFF Card or do I have to use some sort of photo ID like a passport?

Will my oneworld status be recognised in the bookings for seating preferences etc?

Thanks!

If you go to check-in counters then you will require some form of ID. You can always use the check-in kiosks at major airports.

As a Oneworld Sapphire you should be able to preselect your seats on AA flights. Go to the AA website and follow links manage your booking. Not sure what sort of seats yo will be able to preselect but mine as a Platinum were not that great on the last trip in 2009.

I suggest if visiting a check-in desk that you present both your QFF card and your passport. Certainly you'll need the passport a bit later going through TSA inspection.

The card proves your right to be in the particular queue and the passport helps confirm your identity.

As JohnK says, if you use the automated check-in, then you won't be required to present ID at check-in, but it still will be required for TSA checks.
