Check in times - Fiji Airways- Sydney

Does anyone have any recent experience with checking in times at Sydney for Fiji Airways flights?

International flights, we welcome check-in three hours prior to flight departure time with check-in closing one hour prior to departure

Times are pretty standard for most airlines (most are in the T-3h to T-45m range) - as i'm sure you realise.

FJ tend to operate pretty much in all locations on "island time" so i wouldn't be arriving at T-1h05m (right on checkin closure) or you'll have fun by the time chekcin completes and you get thorugh customs/immigration etc. The Y checkin lines can be pretty long and slow too (pax with lots of checkin luggage is common) so T-2h to T-2h30m would be my "arrive at airport" target.

Are you travelling Y or J and any lounge access?

Travelling J. Unfortunately only J lounge access, but thems the breaks. We're looking to go early and have a little lunch before the 1pm flight. Just wanted to take the rush out of the equation.
