Key points are that to achieve (retain) statuses equivalent to OW Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald will require 15(12)/35(30)/55(50) '000 miles.
So 55,00 miles to get to Emerald not too shabby for those on higher fare economy long hauls. Also a sector alternative, but requires a significant proportion of RJ sectors as part of this.
