Change Award flights

We have a award booking SYD/HNL 1st leg with JQ, return is QF HNL/SYD, want to change it to QF CNS/SYD/HNL/SYD cant do it online so do I need to cancel the other in toto? online or contact Qantas and rebook?, what happens to the fees already paid paid?.

I think you need to book CNS-SYD seperately and call QF prefereably Hobart and get them to merge into one PNR....I was able to add SIN-MEL to my existing award booking that was LIS-LHR-SIN

Ring to change, there was a thread about this earlier and there is the sentiment that some agents are too lazy. That's why people have been wrongly told that they have to cancel and rebook.
