My wife & I are excited for our first Business Class (rewards) multi-stop trip in April May 13. We have two legs Mumbai>LHR and LHR>JFK with BA.

All other legs are with QF and CX we have been allocated good business class seats together but of course with our low status and reluctance to pay another $200 for BA seat selection, I understand my options are as follows in the hope of getting adjoining seats on the BA legs in Club World.

1. OLCI as soon as it opens 24 hours prior
2. Get to airport as early as possible (BA138 is 02.35 anyway☺) and plead our case.
3. Call BA in Mumbai ASAP and put in a request and trust they can forward it to BA in London (I saw this in another member post and it seemed to work for them on multiple occassions)

While we are thrilled with the prospect of doing all legs in business, it would be nice to be seated together for these two legs as well.

Does anyone have experience with how such a request (Couples sitting together) is usually dealth with by BA - either the automated seating system and/or staff.

At the end of the day its going to be a lot nicer than what we are accustomed to!
:)
thanks for any feedback.

cheers

Given its J I don't think you will have an issue, of course there are always exceptions to the rule but checking in as soon as you can will help.

I'd be calling the BA hotline for OZ (Mumbai) & see if you can get them to sort you.

FWIW, I've always had great experience with the ladies.....not so much the blokes.

thanks Markis10..we will do our best to get in first either way.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

thanks amaroo. I tried the Mumbai number tonight but kept dropping out so will see what the friendly BA staff in Oz can offer. No harm in asking.
cheers

After several drop outs and cut offs, I got through to the Indian office where a nice lady agreed to send through my request to the UK office presumably. Still wotn know til a day before but at least I have done what I can without forking out for the exhorbitant 'seat selection' fees!

Thanks AFF for the advice once again.

cheers
