I am putting this out there for you quaffing experts after a rather unsatisfactory online purchase from Vintage Cellars. I suppose I have thrown caution to the wind by only ordering from one supplier...Vintage Cellars so I do not have the ability to compare service quality of the two brands.

I recently (relative term) ordered a case of mixed whites from Vintage Cellars. You know how it is, you anticipate needing a few in the cupboard for when a mob comes round for a gathering in a couple of weeks time. Well that was 8 August and today is 13 September. "Jesus H C.....," they never told me in advance they were only crushing to order. It is over 5 weeks and despite 3 phone calls and 4 emails I just receive the usual run-around with no real sincerity.

5 weeks to deliver a box of cheap plonk! Well it might go 6 weeks before the sun sets on this saga.

My question is has anybody experienced such a lack of service / punctuality, call it what you will from the other mob? I am thinking of changing outfits.

Never had an issue with Cellar Masters. Though don't usually buy until they offer me tons of bonus points!

Points is something you don't get with Vintage Cellars. Thanks for mentioning it.

Free delivery is the important thing for me in Darwin, and as I don't have space for a wine fridge, and I can only keep a small supply due to heat and humidity. Hence I buy from Tamburlaine when they have a special. Their wine club has some good deals - but I must admit I have lost the taste for a good red since moving up here unless I crank up the aircon, and drink quaffing whites instead.

yes you do. vintage cellar points - $25 vouchers after $500 spend ( offers of extra vouchers regularly happen too). on line service has been great for us to date.

I bought off Vintage Cellars once and the buggers won't stop ringing me. They also told me on one offer that the wine they were trying to sell me wasn't going to be sold in the stores but sure enough a few weeks later there it was. That left a sour taste in my mouth so they are a last resort for me.

Nothing that you can apply to flying points however.

I note in the latest cellar press they advertise a Laphroaig Quarter Cask for $109 + a cellar share. Other cellars offer the same single malt for $84.99. No cellar share (value $25) but much cheaper. Is Vintage Cellars just inflated prices? Does Cellarmasters sell spirits?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I stopped shopping at Vintage Cellars after they de-ranged many lines several years ago. Dan Murphy's and First Choice have replaced them in our household. The VC loyalty card is no longer in my 2 card wallets.

Have been buying through VC with no problems-they have had some great bundles of NZ whites with bonus bubbles-guess I am a buyer who tends to buy when genuine specials pop up

You're on the North Coast RB? You will probably be familiar with Cassegrain at Port Macquarie. Try their white bundle, I like their whites better than the reds. At $155 delivered you can also get them to throw in a bottle of the bubbly which is nice too. I received a case this week...6 days from order to delivery.

Yesterday I called Vintage Cellars and cancelled my order...almost 6 weeks now! How much can a koala bear?
