Hi all,

Hoping for some feedback from you experts on if this sounds right.

1.
Booked ASA seats for the family from NAN to BNE but due to Malolo Island pushing their reopen date to 1 Aug we want to cancel and got to Hawaii instead for the family Holiday.

On my booking it has no cancel button/icon. After speaking to Qantas - because booking was made from Fiji office they will need to cancel on the phone and as such charge me $80 per ticket for the privilege.

2.
With my credit I want to book a BNE to HON flight. So I can only use credit for Qantas operated flight right? There are 2 flights on the day we want to go they both on the same plane.

BNE - SYD QF the SYD -HON JQ = $765.
BNE - SYD QF the SYD -HON QF= $1900. (What is the extra $1135 for) - I can only book this one once credit comes through?

Thanks :)

Not the answer you are looking for - but why cancel Fiji? There are plenty of other Islands that are open for business. We had a fantastic stay at Matamanoa Island last year.

We had troubles getting the places we wanted over June School holidays - dont think we tried Matamanoa - will have a look. I have never been to Fiji but if we couldn't get an kid friendly Island I wasn't that keen on the "Mainland" Fiji as it seems a bit Aussie. IE full of Aussies on the piss.

Apologies Matamanoa is not child friendly :-( You could try Mana, treasure, Octopus or Castaway (I'm sure there are others) but you are right - the mainland is not great, and it is difficult to get reservations in June school hols. If you do decide to still go to Fiji, I would go to a travel agent and ask them to find you somewhere in Fiji with availability that is not mainland and takes kids. I normally never use travel agents therse days, but sometimes they are useful :)
