Cancel/Change Red e-Deal Booking

Some months ago booked a Red e-Deal with Qantas for my son for travel in July. Due to work commitments he cannot fly.

Can I transfer the booking into another person’s name?

Any way around avoiding fees.

Help appreciated.

You better watch out. I’ll stay home with the Son and you can go with the wife to visit the outlaws.
 
Can't you just cancel it and cop the $60 fee?

It will stay as a credit in his name though.

Can he book something later in the year?
