Have an upcoming trip to Hawaii business not available on points so I booked economy, if there is a seat available can you pay the extra points at check in to upgrade.

I'm guessing its a no but thought if ask

Right so economy it is then :(

on the positive side, i think the hawaii fights are 767 with domestic style seats anyway ... you may get better value for your points elsewhere

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Just checked its an A330 JQ3 so Jetstar lands at 7am it's going to be a long day but I'm not complaining I love Hawaii

It's school holidays so the flights are expensive happy to use the points even for economy

No, they're the Dreamtime seats on the international 767 (same as used to be in Business on the 747 fleet) - much better than domestic J seats.

At busy times, QF schedules the A330 on the route instead, so that would be Skybed I seats in J.

How long has the 767 been on the route? Last time I did Hawai'i back in Dec 2004 (HNL-SYD leg only on QF) it was on a 747 (as I was upstairs). Saying that, that particular plane was so noisey and rattlely I might of preferred the 767!

I did it in Y on the 763 in early 2008 as a part of a OW RTW fare.... last couple of times to HNL I have used the JQ J (Y+) option when it's been on sale. Not great - but better than QF Y for 9-10 hours.
