I am heading to L.A. For a convention in late April and I am looking at a side trip to Cabo San Lucas for a few days R & R.

I 'll be traveling with Mrs S so I was thinking of staying somewhere reasonable say 4.5 star...thinking resort style on the beach. Any suggestions out there on hotels and restaurants?

Thanks.

Im going there today... For a couple the place i would recommend in a heartbeat would be Dreams Los Cabos, about 20 minutes from town, but you won't need to leave the resort.

All-inclusive room rates, meaning everything (including mini bar, room service & restaurants) is covered, and it is on the beach & has a fantastic pool and list of activities. Swimming in Cabo is generally not encouraged.

Thanks for the feedback...the Deams looks very good.

I was considering the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort at San Jose del Cabo , about 30 minutes out of Cabo...my recent comp of HH Diamond status through VA influences my thinking!

I understand it's a bit quieter there and it is close to the town of San Jose del Cabo which is much more layed back than Cabo S L.

I would be interested in your feedback after your stay at the Dreams.

I've stayed there in the past, i think the all-inclusive aspect kind of over-rides the status bonuses... Dreams is actually the next hotel from the Hilton, so location wise, there is no difference.

My visit to Dreams will be my second, and as an SPG Platinum member I have overlooked the Westin in favour of Dreams...

Maybe try both... :)
