Bowral Accommodation?

Hi all,

Im wanting to book a few nights in Bowral for my parents for a midweek getaway. I've been looking on Trip Advisor etc and the few I'm looking at - Peppers, Briars, Links etc all seem to have some great and some not so great reviews. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations?

I know the area well having grown up there.

Both The Briars and Links are cosy, smaller boutique type accommodation - highly recommend either - though I understand The Links has recently had a big revamp, so is likely to be the most modern of all three.

Peppers is a very old hotel that has also been renovated. Best to check, as for many years it was communal dining i.e. you get seated with other guests for meals.

The Briars is OK. It's about 5 minutes out of Bowral.
Could also look at Milton Park or if they play golf then Peppers Manor house at Sutton Forest (about 15 minutes out of Bowral).

+1 Milton Park. Stayed there many times, until i bought a weekender.

I'd recommend Milton Park - it's a lovely place, rooms are comfortable, restaurant is great, and the bar is a cosy place to have a drink before dinner. Pool is great too - I don't think we left the property the whole time we were there!

Peppers has a special on at the moment for $80. Or, $120 w' breakfast, hot choc near the fire etc. I think it's called 'revive'.

It depends what they are looking for, we usually just take a house down there for 4 people but if you are looking for something very 'Southern Highlands' you could try Ashrowan B&B in Berrima - the village is great and a bit more personal than Bowral

I don't know the area but I would lean towards Peppers only because they have 2 resorts where I am and they have a great reputation.
