Bose qc3 charger

I bought the headphones, took everything out of the carrier this evening. The charger has 2 small pins not the longer points to plug into the adapter. The latter I bought in US, the former Sydney duty free.

for the life of me, I can't figure out how to connect the pins to adapter. Any tips will be more than appreciated.
