Is there a trick to booking connecting flights with money but for flights that don't appear on the usual Qantas fare search, and only appear in an award booking search?

For example, take WLG-BNE on the 16th of June. Looking up award flights, the following flights with great timing for me show up:

11:30Wellington12:35AucklandQantas Airways flight operated by JetstarQF49747h 55m Seat SeatYour flight from Wellington to Auckland will be in Economy
15:30Auckland17:25BrisbaneQantas Airways flight operated by JETCONNECT FOR QANTASQF126

However, no luck finding these when searching for a normal fare. Anyone able to please help?

The QF flights that are codeshares operated by JQ are only available to those redeeming points or using a walkabout pass for overseas originated customers.

Well that's a real shame because this is the best flight timing I have seen until QF get a WLG-BNE direct flight. Not sure I will ever see that...

Using the mulicity tool on Qantas' NZ website you can get it if you choose WEL-AKL, AKL-BNE. It even comes up with the QF code share on the Jetstar flight.
