Booking Emirates F on QF codeshare - Singapore

I've attempted a few dummy online bookings this week but not been able to secure a QF codeshare flight, in first class, fully paid, on the MEL-SIN or SIN-MEL sectors for later in 2016. This happens when trying a simple return flight but also -- very frustratingly -- if I try a multi-sector F journey where the only SIN-MEL options come up as J class flights. I've tried multiple dates and combos. F flights definitely available on the EK site.

Apologies if this has been answered before but can this be overridden by a call to QF? Or is this some irreversible block trying to force you to QF metal in J to SIN (unequivocally inferior to EK F)?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

It should be possible - try calling QF or going via agent.

OK, thanks. Still not coming for me - but the site seems to be playing up so will try again later. I definitely fail on any multi-sector bookings - get the 66002 error. But that's the long-standing failure of the multi-city engine I think. But if you have more luck let me know!

I'm sure a call would fix in any event.

Haven't checked but it maybe that the QF EK alliance does not apply to SIN LHR flights as a seperate leg, only to MEL SIN or the whole MEL LHR set.

This does apply to for example BNE DXB BOS. Can't book that via QF in any way at all. Can on EK.

Could well be. Online booking will let me come back in F via Brisbane (but for an extra $5000 !!) but not SIN-MEL (J only). Won't allow me to fly out on the MEL-SIN EK flight at all.

I'm most likely just to start flying SQ more when I need such sectors. Will fly QF when convenient or price is right - but they don't make it easy.

Thanks for this info and the offer. Not going to know for sure travel needs for a few weeks, so this is more preparatory and a bit of curiosity.

Just tried this on a slightly different multi-city routing - and SIN-MEL in EK F QF codeshare came up fine. Bizarre!
