Hey guys,

Done my best to search this first but I'm still not sure

When do EK F seats appear on the QF booking site? June is peak for Europe holidays so I want to get in as soon as the seats are released

I'm planning a trip to Europe in June next year. Happy to leave Melb towards the end of May as well if it means I can lock in the seats

Aim is to fly MEL to LGW in F on EK for myself & my partner. Will fly into any other Europe city as well if it means F on EK.

I'm going to book with QF points through the QF site.

I do have a premium experflyer subscription but I don't think you can set it to tell me when I can book EK with QF points, only set it to tell me when EK release award seats on the leg I want.

Thanks in advance!

I believe EK release their reward flights to QF at 340 days in advance

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have a note of 333d from when I was checking daily to book F & J on EK last year and the year before - but obviously start looking before that.

IIRC, there seemed to be a variation in the days to release of seats between different classes, but I can't recall how it varied.

I recently booked the EK 380 F SYD-BKK for Feb 2019 and they seemed to show up in batches of a few days at a time somewhere between 333 and 339 days out.

Also note that they wouldn't always show up the first time on the calendar looking at flexible dates - so make sure you click through to the actual date to check if it's been released.

Also worth noting that not all EK connections show up! Searching AU-Europe may return zero results but searching AU-SIN followed by SIN-DXB and then again onwards to Europe may open many flight options. You can even combine QF F to SIN followed by EK from there, or business class to Bali followed by EK from there.

They do show up in batches of around 7 days worth. In my search for 2 F award fares they came online at 9am Melbourne time. I know this precisely as I checked 30 minutes earlier.

They are also widely available in my experiece, I’ve booked EK F to DXB & SIN a number of times only a few weeks before travel - much better availability then trying to get a QF F seat!

That could be a function of the flexible dates functionality - by default, the first time searches Y only. If you want another class, select them and search again.
