"Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade"?

Hey guys

When I log in to Velocity, it's showing a "Bonus Confirmed Complimentary Upgrade" on the account summary page. It expires in August next year. I'm Platinum and have requalified for next year.

My wife (who is also Platinum and requalified) has the same thing.

Anyone know what this is? An extra upgrade from domestic Flexi to Business subject to availability? Or something sweeter ?

Out of curiosity are you BIS or status matched? I have this forlorn hope that they will do something nice for BIS folks at some point.

I'll put $10 on xtra being BIS plat, awaiting dozens of posts from status matched plats who have never seen a DJ aircraft comment on how they have received an extra four complimentary upgrades for the year .

(I'm BIS and have one extra upgrade.)

I also noticed this, this morning when I checked last weeks activity had come through - I was matched Plat last year but have re-qualified this year (I think I am one of the people they were after, once I tried their product I have actually stayed with them). I also noticed that my wife who was matched Gold last year but has also re-qualified this year has had the same showing.........

You might be in luck - my 'bonus upgrade' expires 15 August 2013. With a few SGs posting in the thread so far that they have received the bonus I'd be surprised if yours doesn't stay around after your status downgrade.

I got it also as a BIS Platinum. I wonder if it is the same T & C's as the other 4 comps i.e. you need a flexi fare to upgrade or can this one be done off any fare?
