Every time I fly QF international I ask for a Bloody Mary, and really enjoy it, and then think later on "oh, I should have asked them how they made it". I'm assuming it's a standard recipe since it is always really good.

If anyone is flying QF J or F in the near future and feels like asking for their recipe I would be appreciative :)

They use a bloody mary mix. I have forgotten the brand name but obviously a very small can. It does taste quite nice. I have 4-5 during a flight even when in economy.

I agree, they are very moreish.

I think it's called something like Mrs T's bloody Mary mix. It's so yummy!

I can confirm that it is Mr & Mrs T's Bloody Mary Mix....the original flavour is only stocked on QF, and from memory on international flights. Mr & Mrs T have been the stapple of airline Bloody Marys for decades, I remember first trying the mix no alcohol on an Eastern flight in the 70's when I was a young boy and was hooked on its since. I try to get at least one on every flight that lists it as available. If you can find it try the horseradish flavoured one for a real good kick.

My wife just had one which was perhaps made a tad strong - she loved it, and cried tears of laughter all through that ridiculous movie Get Hard.

A BM is an automatic request for me when heading OS - never have them otherwise but get me on a plane and its the 1st thing I think off. Had a late morning snooze onboard after dusting 3 in the F lounge a few weeks ago before a QF29 flight up to HKG - they make a very good version there also (not sure ifs a pre-mix or not however)......

Do you add Tabasco?

I had multiple bloody marys on AA in the US last year - in addition to the pre-mix tomato juice, they seemed to add tabasco, pepper, lemon wedges and olives. Haven't had too many on Qantas, but don't seem to have the tabasco or lemon as standard or any olives.

But this thread has inspired me to ask on my flights tomorrow!

I was recently in Canada and discovered Clamato juice. The spicy one is so yummy!!

I thought the Bloody Mary mix used by Qantas already had Tabasco in it. Could be mistaken.

It definitely has a slight kick to it but I don't know if it's tabasco or not.

In EK F last week I asked for a BM and they brought me a glass of vodka and tomato juice, with bottles of worcestershire and tabasco on the side. Fine if you're a BM expert and know how to make one but my effort was nowhere near as good as the Mr & Mrs T.

Love the Mr & Mrs T bloody mary mix, the ABC stores in Hawaii sell a huge bottle of it for $7.99. Wish that Dan Murphy stocked it. I think your drink of choice must be recorded in your profile because the first thing the CSM asked me on a recent flight to HNL was whether I wanted a G & T, shortly after another flight attendant asked me the same thing.
