AoT cuts flights during runway repair
Published: 29/05/2012 at 02:04
Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) will curtail incremental scheduled and charter flights during the shutdown of one of the two runways at Suvarnabhumi airport for maintenance next month.

Somchai Sawasdeepon, general manager of the airport, said the restriction is meant to prevent flight congestion from worsening during the 60-day closure of the eastern runway for an overlay that is due to start on June 11.

Not too worried about MCT although flight delays are some worry.

Haven't heard anything too serious so far so hoping things go smoothly next week.

I've been through twice recently with no problems, though I have seen a few reports of 30 to 40 minute delays.
