Discovered a minor difference with the billing cycle on the EDRC verses my Westpac card.

Westpac religious bill me for all of the transactions up to the date of the bill ie 27th of each month is my billing date.

For the first two dates of my EDRC the statement dates were 3 May & 4 June.

I got caught out with the new card as I had made no transactions actually in the month of June they don't issue a statement for that month, instead letting it ride until the statement to be issued around 3rd August. I paid my bills on 2nd July just in time for my expected statement.

Seems like an generous credit term. The only issue for me I was hoping to have the QFF pts to book a tix. I always prefer the cash in the bank for a little longer.

MODS: Thanks for the new Topic.

Yes billing cycle stability and the ability for a Westpac customer to cash a cheque into a Westpac Kris Flyer Platinum is the reason why I use and appreciate their Amex card for a point and a half per dollar.

I assume I can just pay the balance off in this current month and clock up another round of bills. So this month I'll put through twice the credit limit and I assume get it all at $1:point.

Yes,that will work on Woolies EDR card.Sometimes I re-load a card 2 to 4 times a month and there has been no issue.I do prefer Westpac as I can cash a cheque and 5 minutes later spend it all plus the credit limit and get Amex Kris pointsat 1.5 per dollar for my efforts.
