I all, may I ask for ideas in what may be the best use of points to go BNE (or SYD or MEL for that matter) to Milan.

Points available - QF/VA/SQ or good value purchase (Avianca ??). With SQ dropping fees, the fee and tax component will play a reasonable part I imagine.

Also do SQ do W out of BNE? I haven't seen any on their web site.

Just did a random Nov search & LifeMiles has some SYD-MXP in J with Thai. Have you got more specifics in mind?

Dates will likely be early 2018 and SQ has J rtn for about 210000 + AU$160 and W out of SYD for about 175000 + AU$165. That sounds pretty good to me, but I was wondering if LifeMiles may have some better options.

LifeMiles J from SYD -MXP is 85,000 miles each way with no money. You should be able to do dummy bookings/calculations without having miles in an account. At the moment there are some situations of mixed classes but on other days J all the way.
