Does anyone have any tips on best place to get some dinner at the Saigon airport international terminal? Not sure I trust the food at the "Rose" lounge. Any thoughts most appreciated!

Re: Best place to eat at SGN

What airline are you flying? Some airlines (SQ) offer alternatives to lounge access (if you have access that is) - such as a USD 12 voucher to the Singaporean Prima Taste Restaurant, Illy Cafe, Lotus Restaurant + some Japanese restaurant. I always choose the Illy cafe option - has quite a few good beverages and snacks; but I have no idea about the rest.

There is also a Burger King on the upper level - next to the Illy cafe/Prima Taste

Thanks SQ225 - I ended up having a traditional Vietnamese dinner at the nice local restaurant called "Burger King"... wasn't quite as authentic as hoped but surprisingly tasty.

(flying SQ - I got given a Rose Lounge card but they had a strange sign at checkin advertising the different options)

I've enjoyed both the spring rolls and Pho from the Rose lounge on several occasions, never had any issues with it. Obviously more of a snack than a full meal, but more than adequate

The Japanese restaurant was very good, but it is now a Burger King. Last time I bought a Whopper and ate it in the VN lounge. If you're really keen for a meal before the flight you could always have a bite to eat on the ground or top floor of Parksons over the road from the airport. They have a free shuttle service too.
