Wise FF'ers,
my folks have recently flown BA Y+ LHR-MEL-LHR. They haven't joined a FF program yet and so haven't collected the points. They are happy for me ultimately to have the use of the points.
I am thinking of registering them with AA - where I have a lot of points - or alternatively QF - rather than BA, where I have a few points, but not many.
1) Am I correct in thinking they can join any of the oneworld airline FF programmes and attribute these flights to that program?
2) If so, would AA be the best option to collect the points? Are there any other particular good options within the oneworld alliance that I am overlooking?
My family tend to fly to the US and / or round the world, and prefer to fly business if we can get the points together. AA seems to have really good value business class flights trans-pacific (if you can get availability) - way better than QF - and I think they have an AA RTW deal in business for 150,000 points.
Many thanks in advance for your help
