so there i was with 90 mins to fill in at MEL before my rex flight
Looking for a beer
No QP ATA
Didn't go the virgin status match when i should have so no virgin ATA
Not a rex lounge member and won't be now they have removed their frequent flyer rewards

SO which bar to drink at

WHo likes which bar at MEL??

No particularly wonderful bars there in the domestic terminals so as Sprucegoose suggests, just find your nearest bar (or head over to the Social and Meetings threads and see if anyone's going to be around to guest you in).

actually could have got in the QP if i wanted but i felt like a solo beer
I'd spent the last 6 hours with the guy who could have guested me in a fairly intense committee meeting so wanted a solo beer

Ended up over at the parkroyal in a deserted bar watching the tennis
Don;t know why i haven't ended up there before!

(apart from the fact I'm usually in teh QP)

The PJ O'Briens in T3 landside is pretty good in my opinion. Good meals too. They have a window to the runways if you can snag a nearby seat.

the bar at the park royal is good, went there once when it was a hilton to watch a soccer match (no one in the terminal had fox)

o'briens has some good views.

Never thought of the parkroyal. I guess after they tried to eye gouge me for a nights accommodation once, they had left my psych!

i normally go to the cafe /bar in the rex end after security but didn't feel like that this time
Pj Obriens was full of what appeared to be a football team all attempting to get blotto before flight !
