Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

No points for me but I was told that since I opened the account after the 4th of the month, I will need to wait until 4/5th September for the next transfer of points.

My 10k have just posted as told by customer service early August. Account opened in May.
 
I wonder if there's a syndicate out there of someone who may happen to know enough people without a QFF account / with a QFF account which they don't care about who has signed them all up on this Bankwest promotion to harvest 10k points apiece to be transferred to that person in the end.

As for the 'abuse', I say if you want to rock the boat, it might be more fun, but don't go blaming God if you tip it over. That said, I'm glad no one has really rationalised their behaviour by saying, "The banks screw us over all the time, they deserve everything bad coming to them," which is an extremely common reason for justifying that kind of behaviour in LOTFAP (banks, airlines, other service companies...)
 
I don't need to justify it which is the great thing.

I missed out on the 10k bonus points due to some random issue where I had to go into a branch to get my account details. Because of that I missed the first months deposit, they weren't willing to negotiate. I don't blame them, they were using the terms and conditions.

So am I.

Had one of these accounts and closed it after I got my 10k, so I am not an existing Bankwest transaction account holder. If I sign up again am I likely to get the 10k?

No, I have not seen that page - I did another 200 transactions this morning and it worked fine.

EDIT: Changed my mind, I did get it. For some reason my script is returning successful attempts though.

edit2: this is the line you need to add:

I don't get why you'd do that, rather than just booking under your own name :?:
And I shall try to explain without giving away too much information. Do you remember tha $50 HotelClub promotion a couple of years ago? It was limited to one sign up per person and I managed to signup using a few different names of friends as well as the same name for a few of my different email addresses.

I do likke to think outside the square. I did the same for another promotion from a local competitor recently.

Sorry - forgot to say where to put it, lol!

Fixing my Python script is turning out to be a lot more complicated than the macro. I can't tell what they've done but there is another step in the process invisible to the user (us) that is occurring. I'll have to analyse the going to and from and recreate it.

For anyone interested I'll make a little tutorial on using the python script once it's fixed. It's way easier.
 
Abuse is the right word if abuse it indeed is. Bankwest do have the right to close down the accounts of people who "abuse" the account but determination of what is abuse would have to be in terms of the facts....
Paying bills in $0.01 increments is not abuse?
