Hi, could only find 2 closed threads on the Bangkok Airways lounge (unless my search skills fail me, again...). Are there any recent experiences with this lounge? Is it still accessible for whY pax? I'll be flying with them in Feb BKK to USM return and my parents will be doing BKK-USM-SIN and we have an early start in BKK wo would be nice to know where to go first...

Used the lounge last July in BKK and in USM if that is recent enough.

In USM it is just the gate waiting area but, as it is exclusive to Bangkok Airways, can double as the lounge. It is open air and not air-conditioned but there is water and juice and some snacks and much nicer than a normal gate waiting area.

In BKK the lounge had wifi and some food and drink, no alcohol but as it's built into the price it is very nice.

Would definitely fly with them again, no isses. My trip was BKK-USM-SIN

Thanks Cynicor,

do you remember what the quickest way to the lounge in BKK is? We are staying at the Novotel and have an 8:15 flight. In USM we have more time as my parents' flight to SIN is a bit earlier than ours back to BKK

From memory, the lounge is quite close to the gates that PG uses at BKK (if not directly opposite), so the quickest way is the quickest way in to the domestic gates as you would normally go. As mentioned above, the USM lounge isn't so much of a lounge as it is an open-air gate where you can get some juices and limited snacks.

PG is a wee bit on the expensive side to USM given its almost-monopoly and ownership of the airport, but the service, on the ground and in the air, is pretty good. The lounge at BKK is adequate, the A320s are decent (even the ATRs are okay, if not great), and the simple snack on board is almost always edible and satisfactory. Haven't flown Blue Ribbon on them, so can't speak to that service. Also, if you join FlyerBonus (at no cost) you get an increased baggage allowance of 10kg.
