Hi All 👋

Thank you so much for any guidance on this one.

Forgive all the 'QR's and 'BA's - trying to be clear to avoid any ambiguity.

Relatively new to points. Earlier this year, I was chuffed to book my first awards in QSuites and SQ 380 J from Aus to Europe and back for next year - excited and very grateful to the community for sharing their wealth of knowledge online so others can vacuum it up during research sessions! 😊 My Avios are not close to expiring, but in my collecting, I'm wondering about expiry. (Not exactly a frequent flyer so crediting a flight is not a guaranteed easy one.)

Correct if wrong but, with BA, I know I can get a cheap piece of junk from AliExpress via the BA Shopping Portal to prolong the expiry of all BAEC Avois, so that they don't expire for another 36 mo.

Question 1:
I'm unaware of a QR shopping portal, like BA has. Can I transfer all of my Avios from QR across to BA and the BA expiry will apply to those?

Question 2:
Will transferring some Avios from BA into QR trigger account activity that will prolong expiry of all Qatar Avios for another 36 months?

Open to any other simple tips to prevent Avios expiry!

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, VPS. I really appreciate it.

I had already read both of those threads prior to posting; they seem to relate to Executive Club. I am asking about QRPC rather than BAEC. :)

If you can earn some BA Avios you can transfer the Qatar ones - does that help

Thanks so much VPS, that's great. Really appreciate your input; still very green over here!
So you are saying that the answer to my 'Question 1' is that it's possible? I just transfer to BAEC and can keep them active over there. I was wondering if the BA expiry will automatically apply or I need another purchase. Another purchase is fine, very easy to manage. :)

I think so but I'm not the expert on Avios
