I have a friend who wishes to travel SYD-MEL for a few days for the Melbourne Cup. Now she is still recovering from a badly broken arm/shoulder and is not able to carry anything so will require assistance with her luggage - from the point of taxi drop off. I suggested that the only way to get this would be to request wheelchair assistance - is this correct? Are there any other options. Note she will even have difficulty with any hand luggage (probably a small handbag and (of course) a hat box). (Note she is no longer using a sling so is not visibly disabled but only has very limited mobility in her right arm/shoulder which makes it impossible (for her) to even carry / pull a suitcase with her left hand/arm).
