Hi all,

Happy travelling to you in whatever corner of the world this post finds you.

Just a quick question in relation to the Aquire program and making bookings on the Qantas website.
If you log in as a FF instead of through the Aquire platform, is there any way to make your ABN stick in your preferences the same way your phone number and email do in your profile?
I haven't found out where it is and when my PC clears its cookies I lose the ABN and have to look it up again which is a real nuisance.

I am also not sold at all on the benefits of the Aquire program.
As a business owner I like the idea of rewarding the person who pays the bills, but still doesn't seem particularly worth it.
Now if all of the SC booked under an ABN were recorded against the person paying the bills.... Then I would be a very happy P1 camper ;) instead of an unexcited WP
Getting FF points is nice, but with the company credit card etc. I already have plenty... And no you can't have any

Yes, I have the same problem and often have to contact them to get flights credited. But it might be the users problem:)

I don't really 'get' Aquire, but I like the points, so happy to accept them. ( Muchos Gracias Red Roo) However, I wonder what buying decisions are made by others based on Aquire. Fascinated to hear others experiences.

I don't get it either. I have two companies and it gets them muddled up. I added myself as a frequent traveller but still need to type in my personal details every time. The fact that they share the login page with the QF site means my Mac doesn't autofill the passwords, etc. Overall it's a pain.

Are you referring to the Qantas business direct page where you have stored travellers and select them from the dropdown list like the screenshot below?

If you are I suspect you are selecting the traveller but then not pressing the + button - just searching for the flight.
You have to select the name and press the + button every time you go back and make a change or the stored info will not come up.

If you are talking about something else please disregard.....

The ABN is always in mine whether I log in as a FF or through Business direct. When you make a booking there is a check box asking if you want the details saved - if you have added the ABN and then check the box I believe it will be there next time you log in

I must admit when Qantas made me an offer to join Aquire for free I couldn't really see the point. I declined, but maybe I was right?

We've earned 100,000 extra points since we joined in March last year and now just a 1.5 status credits offer for the two of us. I'd say, nup!

If it is just you in your business and you only fly a little I'd say up until this 50% SC bonus and the extra points you were right

If there are 2 or more flying for your business you have been missing out and now you are also this quite good offer.

Did they offer any signup points?

Make sure you read the fine print.
An eligible flight means a domestic or international flight which has a Qantas 'QF' flight number on the ticket that is purchased in Australia; is operated by Qantas, Emirates or American Airlines; has a ticket number commencing with '081'; and is booked and travelled for business on or after the date the business registers for Aquire.

I got caught out with some flights to SIN and BKK - didn't have a 081 ticket number as it was booked through Finnair. Still had QF flight number and purchased in Australia but not eligible "Ticket was not issued by Qantas (081)". I will no longer use Aquire after the end of my membership year.

Are there any benefits to booking through business direct? It annoys me having to get out to go back in to my Qantas profile, so I don't bother with business direct, I would prefer an entirely different website.

Yes, until you delete your cookies or use a different Pc.

I got just over 60k FF points in the first year without obsessing about entering my abn every time.
Are they planning to charge for it in the future?

The benifits I see are:
1. All of the travellers details are stored - I log into QBD from clients workstations when on sites that I have never used before and the info is available.
2. All of the active itineraries are available in one place when I need to find and change one/some after hours and once logged into QBD I can access them without needing to type in booking reference numbers and surnames.
3. Another is that I can get a flexible whY Aquire deals for nominally 10% less.

I get a travel report from QF and they now know how much I spend with them - before QBD they had no idea.

I didnt know know that deleting cookies meant you lost his info in your private QFF account and have not noticed it happen when I have deleted my cookies.

If not using QBD, it is a simple matter to add the ABN in Manage my booking.

Up until 24 Dec QF had a promotion offering Aquire for free.

Is there any other promo to get around fee of $89.50?
