In a similar vein to the existing thread, Aquire is now offering new customers to Storage King a 10k joining bonus, and existing customers a 5k yearly bonus (presumably repeating).

We'll make it simple. Whether your business is looking for temporary storage or a more permanent solution, Storage King has a self-storage solution that's right for your business needs. Storage King is Australasia's largest self-storage company, with 114 locations throughout Australia. One call to pack, move and store and your commercial storage problems are solved.

While not quite as lucrative as a Staples purchase of $1, today I decided to rent a locker for a month, received a second month free and hope to not have any dramas* in 45 days claiming the points. Unfortunately, this set me back $70 with the smallest locker being $60 and a cleaning fee of $10 automatically tacked on. Still, I don't personally see this as bad value as it's more points than I'd make on a flight to SYD.

By my estimates, I'm due 10,210 points on the 6th March 2015.

Storage King T&C's.

*LOL

Subscribing... this one should be entertaining.

Thanks for the heads up though samh004.

Agree 10K point for $70 is reasonable value.

I haven't been all the way through the process yet, but my local branch offers $40 per month as the cheapest space, so assuming the $10 cleaning fee applies that will be $50 for 10,000 bonus points.

Where do you enter your Aquire number?

When you rent the locker in person there's a field for a business name and ACN, I queried this and they said I could add my ABN there... already has all the parts of a drawn out battle :p

Indeed it does vary by location, was a little disappointed to only get $60 as my cheapest, but I'm solely focused on the points.

Additionally, Aquire seems to suggest it could be multiple use "Limit of 10,000 Aquire Points per rental agreement for a minimum of 1 month's storage purchased per Storage King store" while also saying the opposite "The 10,000 Aquire Points offer is available to new Storage King customers only". I may have to head to Brisbane... ;)

Ah, you went in person. I was planning to sign up on the internet and then never go there.

Dear Mr_Orange, thank you for renting our storage, regretfully we have had to charge a cleaning fee because you left dust in the locker

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

Sounds like a good value deal, especially if it can be done online. Can't be bothered going there to sign up.

Mrs_O just asked me if more than 'staff' member took up this offer as a new member to Storage King but credited to the same Aquire account whether the 10000 bonus points would post twice. What do you reckon folks?

Usually staff are excluded, but couldn't see anything on first glance and if you're a business, I don't see why you should be excluded as it's a business program.

I reckon the Acquire program is a crock IMHO

Oh most definitely, but if I hadn't tried it out I'd have about 40k less points by the time I finish my trial. I recently had to make a second phone call to get a flight to credit properly, after being promised a return phone call weeks ago. That's not how you run a business program... keeping your customers on their toes to check that they're actually getting their points.

As I pass the 425,000 point mark, with no disputes over bonus points or double status credits...I have to respectfully disagree:)
Good luck to you
I reckon it is a David & Goliath Program and unfortunately I am David and too small to make it work, racking up 20,000 flying points is impossible for me now. Keep at it before they change it too, BUT I am happy to be like Benny Hill ( am I showing my age ?????) and be "learning all the time" if I am wrong...don't hesitate to correct me,......the worst that can happen is that I will learn something and earn points...hey what have I got to lose guys show me why my opinion is wrong..but be gentle please.

Went to closest Storage King which is behind Officeworks on Nepean Hwy in Highett - cheapest monthly rental $82 - think I'll try a few others first.

always gentle sumthin :) Yes I am fortunate that I am with an organisation that can take full advantage of the program and so definitely lucky in that regard.

Pity no Storage King in Karratha!

I guess even if you could find a way to purchase multiple rental agreements at multiple locations at the same time, they may consider you as not being a new customer as soon as your first rental agreement is purchased...
There are 2 stores near me with only one showing prices online. $55/month is the cheapest.

Ka-ching!

Just finalising 3 lockers on separate ABN's. Free rent for first month. Only have to pay $16.50 cleaning fee for each one. Not a bad cost per point?

Now the waiting game begins....

Gogo
